When planning your Central Coast or Hunter Valley Wedding photography, here are some tips to ensure that you capture the most beautiful memories of your day.
Choose a Photographer Early
Start researching photographers around a year before the wedding.
Find the photographer that suits your style and check out the photography. Meet your photographer face to face before the wedding and View his work and albums, online testimonials have the photographer show his printed work and how he delivers. Lock in the date with your photographer and confirm it.
Check references before booking your photographer. This may be in the form of an email or phone call. As a renowned wedding photographer Central Coast and Hunter Valley region I am always happy to provide references for clients, as well asonline testimonials. Samples of my quality wedding photography are available online.
Have a Realistic Schedule
Bear in mind that everything takes longer at a wedding. Look for photographer that doesn’t have a set time limit on his wedding package and perhaps the one that can shoot your dress, shoes, jewelry the day or night before to minimise the impact of wedding schedule. Due to your wedding dress and shoes, a good photographer would provide a photographic run sheet well in advance of the day with your input and that will be used as wedding photo schedule. it takes longer to walk between cars and to your photograph locations. Allow at least one hour for wedding photography, and have some time up your sleeve if possible.
The mood and atmosphere of your wedding day will be captured in your photos, which will last for generations to come. A great wedding photographer is an essential part of your wedding planning. Planning a wedding is a big undertaking. There is a lot to take into consideration to create your dream day, and photography is an important part of the day. Here are some tips to get the best of your wedding location photography.
Stay on Schedule
Your MC plays a critical role in having everything run on schedule. Ensure that you choose someone with a knack for organization who has good time keeping skills! Starting your photos on time will avoid a rush and things will run more closely to plan. The atmosphere will be more relaxed.
At weddings, everything takes longer. Walking to and from the cars, and to different photo opportunity locations, all takes time, particularly in a long wedding gown! Allow at least an hour for photos, with some extra time up your sleeve just in case.
Plan for Inclement Weather
On your wedding day expect the unexpected and be prepared! Have a backup plan in the case of wet weather, cloud cover or strong winds.
Prepare Your Wedding Photos with a List
Have a list of shots that you would like taken for your wedding album and give them to your Central Coast Wedding photographer well ahead of the wedding. Discuss with many family shots that you would like taken, or that are to be avoided! You don’t have to list each and every photograph – just the ones that are really important to you.
Choose a Great Location
Choosing a scenic and beautiful backdrop for your wedding will not only create a romantic and beautiful atmosphere on the day, the mood and backdrop will be forever captured in your photos. As your Central Coast and Hunter Valley Wedding photographer I can recommend a number of amazing wedding locations that will create outstanding and stunning wedding photography.
Take Lighting into Consideration
Discuss the location and lighting with your photographer ahead of time. When planning wedding photography Newcastle and Central Coast areas it is often popular to time your ceremony so that photographs are taken at sunset. Natural light, the weather, the time of day and the theme of the wedding all are taken into consideration when booking Central Coast photography.
When you are planning your wedding photography taking these points into account will help to ensure that you get the best out of your wedding location. Contact me (Mike) at Belstar Photography, your wedding photographer Hunter Valley and Central Coast New South Wales, to schedule an appointment to discuss your ideal wedding photography.
